Texas currently invests $8 billion biennially at the state level through general revenue, Medicaid, and local and federal dollars to increase access to behavioral health serves provided by multiple agencies across the entire state. Providing Mental Health First Aid to state employees – particularly those in public school districts – is an integral part of these efforts. Since Fiscal Year 2014, Texas has trained nearly 24,000 school district employees, 3,000 Health and Human Services employees and more than 17,000 community members in Mental Health First Aid.

Astellas Pharma US is an R&D-driven pharmaceutical organization. Its headquarters for the Americas is in Northbrook, Ill., and it employs approximately 3,000 people. Astellas has seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) which are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion at the company. Astellas has trained approximately 40 employees in Mental Health First Aid in the past year.
colorado behavioral healthcare council
The Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC) is the statewide membership organization for Colorado’s network of 28 community behavioral health providers. Collectively, these organizations provide skilled therapeutic and community resources to meet the behavioral health needs of thousands of Coloradans in both urban and rural communities. CBHC started offering Mental Health First Aid trainings in 2007, and has trained 42,000 First Aiders statewide as of 2017.
